The living world is an R & D laboratory some 3.8 billion years old. Many of the problems we face have already been solved by organisms as diverse as boxfish and lily pads, abalones and geckos. Denise DeLuca of The Biomimicry Institute will talk about the ways in which nature can inspire sustainable solutions for the worlds of design, business, and engineering.
B. Live First, Work Second: What Millennials' Mobility Can Teach us About Building Sustainable Cities - Rebecca Ryan
The "Great Recession" has caused a decrease in the number of people moving in and out of cities and states. Except for the Millennials (b. 1982-2001). In this session, Rebecca Ryan will share her team's research about what it takes to attract and keep the next generation of knowledge workers - and how their shared spirit of sustainability can be an asset for Bioneers everywhere.
